Mystery Embodied

A poem for Holy Week

the lover cries
the divine spark glows
consuming and empowering
identifying, locating, mystifying
the concepts are never reached
the symbols are encircling
being outward and visible
despite the lack of color
defining love and hunger
beyond the deceptive intelligence
our senses let us know
when what is myst is found
